As a remote company, in-person events are rare gems. We heard your feedback on including more in-person events, and we understand the immense value of these gatherings for our team to connect and bond. These local events are not just about fun; they're about building relationships across departments. It's easy to get caught up in our day-to-day tasks and forget just how expansive and interconnected HQ truly is.

During our December All Hands Meeting, we unveiled thrilling plans to ramp up our team building events. The excitement was palpable, and now - drumroll, please - we're thrilled to announce our “City Events” program!

Each “City Event” will have a designated “City Captain” who will plan the how, when and where the team will be meeting each quarter. Each group has been created based on location and proximity, so that the events can be organized with ease. For the few teammates who don’t reside close to any of the locations or are true nomads, our Employee Experience Specialist (Olga) will organize a quarterly online experience. 

With that said, we can finally all enjoy spending time together each quarter - from escape rooms, theater plays, hiking, or meeting up for drinks - anything we find interesting and is within our allocated budget is an event to look forward to!

To kick off our “City Events” program, HR is organizing one-off team-building events on a larger scale in Q3. These spectacular events will be multi-day and will bring cities that are in similar regions together for larger group activities. Each location will feature a unique activity or experience, making every gathering special and memorable. We also aim to plan something special for our remote team members, as well.

To make these events the best they can be, we need your help. Our HR team is organizing these weekends and wants to ensure everyone can participate. We'll be sending out a survey via Heartcount next week to find out which dates in August and September work best for you. Your input is crucial to maximize attendance and make these weekends unforgettable.
